Monday August 17th PUBLIC HEARING on Waukesha water diversion

Posted on August 17, 2015 at 8:20 AM

PLEASE NOTE:

Monday, August 17th hearing will be at Carroll University CENTER FOR GRADUATE STUDIES and NOT THE MAIN CAMPUS near downtown Waukesha.

Carroll University Center for Graduate Studies (Room 107)

2140 Davidson Road, Waukesha, WI

Your voice is needed to send a strong message to DNR:

Deny Waukesha’s application for a Great Lakes water diversion.

There are plenty of good reasons for DNR to deny Waukesha’s application—they can be found in the two information sheets attached here and the new video clip, Protect Our Great Lakes, a great reminder of what’s at stake:

Fact Sheet on the Non-Diversion Solution

Myth vs. Reality

Protect Our Great Lakes: https://youtu.be/jY52f9Vxp8M

Two additional information sheets, a Conservation Fact Sheet and Water Service Area   Is Waukesha a “Community in Need?” will be sent via e-mail later today, so please watch your in-box. From these documents and the video clip, you should be able to craft your testimony for the hearing (about 400 words—450 if you can talk fast!) to meet the expected 3-minute time limit per person.
